Customer Review: Great athletic shoe for the price
I don't know if I'd run in them.. however, I might give it a go at some point. Otherwise they really are quite comfortable. At the end of the day my knees and feet don't hurt, and that's really the main thing for me. They're lightweight and cool, fit true to size, they've got a nice wide toe box so the toes aren't at all scrunched in a normal width shoe, the EVA insole is a bonus as well. It's too early to tell if they'll do anything for my supination, but even if they wear out in a few months, the cost is such that it would be easy to purchase another pair.

These shoes are really great! I'm a 30 yr.old average runner with a lot of knee pain and these shoes have been so comfortable. The second I put them on I knew that I had finally found the shoe for me. I've tried lots of brands and styles and these shoes are the best I've had. I'm going to get me another pair in a couple of months so I can switch between the two. I did a foot/runner analysis on runner's world.com and this was the shoe that they recommended for me, I would encourage anyone looking for running shoes to do the same since everyone's foot and running styles vary.

Customer Review: A testament to the importance of a seemingly subtle difference
This (Asics GT-2130) is a just-out-of-production (2008) model of a very popular line of running shoes produced by a very reputable company, and there are still many new pairs available at reduced price on the market. I benieve many runners share my habit of buying last year's model at 30-40% discount, so am writing this for those who do the research. Each pair of feet and gait are different, so it makes much more sense to disclose my condition for your comparison. I am a recreational runner and average 25-30 miles per week, mostly on a treadmill. I am 5'10" and 168 lb, and belong to the the majority of runners with normal arch and mild overpronation. I loved Asics GT-2110 (great stability and roomy toe box) so much that I bought four pairs of them for training and long distance road races. Knowing how difficult it is to find a pair of suitable running shoes, I searched for long to find its replacement. Asics GT-2130 has received good reviews, but one never knows whether these reviews actually apply to one's own feet. By now, I have run in my first pair of Asics GT-2130 for about 150 miles (20% on asphalt, 80% on treadmill) and found two very specific deficiencies - (1) small toe box, and (2) weak forefoot cushion. My conclusions were drawn from comparison with its predecessor - GT-2110. I developed black toenails (subungual hemorrhage), blisters on and behind toes, and pain in medial aspect of ball of foot (metatarsalgia) in GT-2130. At first I thought I rushed to long runs in the new pair, but these problems continued after they have been well broken in. With a scheduled marathon coming up, I switched back to a pair of my old GT-2110 and these problems went away. I felt and inspected the insoles of the two and saw the small but definite difference. If your running feet are prone to blisters on toes, black toenails and metatarsalgia, I would advise you to pass on Asics GT-2130. Don't be mistaken, I love Asics and still regard its many products the best there are. But I am convinced that the forefoot design of GT-2130 was worse than that of GT-2110. I hope this is just a 2130-related issue and the update (GT-2140) is much better, but I have yet to try them to find out. Runners - Pain is inevitable but suffering is optional.

I bought the GT-2130 running shoes and they feel great. This is my second pair of Asics. My introduction to Asics was the 1130 running shoes which were very comfortable and i have flat feet which isn't an issue with these shoes. Great shoe at a great price. Thank you Amazon & FogHog for the prompt service. I ordered these on Feb.12th & had them a week later. If there is ever a doubt about Asics quality, rest assured you are getting a durable shoe that wears well over time. I would recommend this to anyone looking to spend their hard earned dollars on a product that lasts.

The day before the Napa Valley Marathon my parents treated me to a fitting of new running shoes. The Kayano 14 was the winner. The very next day I ran the fastest marathon I had ever ran by a large margin. Obviously the training was the main factor, but I believe running in the Kayano 14 helped tremendously. Straight out of the box they were a perfect fit. No discomfort and no blisters after 26.2. Well cushioned, firm and comfortable fit and lightweight. I've since purchased two more 14s and am a huge fan. I would definitely recommend this shoe to anyone, although they are probably discontinuing and moving to the 15. 5 stars.

I was first attracted to these shoes because of the color. They're even better looking in person and will coordinate beautifully with my black and pink bike and gray tri shorts and trikini. They're also functional as well as good-looking. They work better in preventing shin splints than the Omni Moderate Grid 5 I used last year. My back doesn't get as tight either. I feel like they also offer a more cushioned ride. I read somewhere to size up 1/2 size in these shoes but learned that they actually fit true to size, i.e. a size 5 equals a size 5.

Love these shoes. Bought them beginning of January. Prior to my last pair of shoes (Nikes) I had worn an earlier model of Saucony Omni for two years. It is by far my favorite brand and style. They last longer than any other kind I have tried and have the absolute best support. I use my shoes more frequently for walking than for running, and consequently they last me a good year. The last pair of shoes I had before these (Nike Triax) wore out after just five months of walking in them. These last over twice as long and the insoles also don't wear out like they did on the Nikes. Finally, I love the color. Has nothing to do with the (quality of the) shoes themselves...but it's a big plus for me! =)

Customer Review: allergic to glue in shoe
These shoes look dope on, but DC has started using a glue or some other strange product in its Chinese factory that I am allergic to and this is the second pair from this brand I got recently which makes my toes swell up cherry red and itch like hell for weeks like a case of severe poison ivy. If you've found yourself allergic to a pair of DC shoes recently, I'd recomend you don't buy any more of them. They all appear to be using the same dodgy glue or whatever it is.

I purchased these based on the customer reviews listed on Amazon. I agree with all of the good reviews; I bought the 12EE and it was to narrow, so I returned it for the 12EEEE and it was a perfect fit. I put the shoes on immediately and never had any of the usual new shoe breaking in problems, no soreness, etc. I highly recommend this shoe and Bargain Outfitters was a pleasure to work with; they never gave me any grief over returning the shoes.

They go best on my feet. Not so much on my hands... I have the hardest time finding WIDE sized shoes. NB is usually pretty dependable as being one of the few shoes companies that consistently puts out that size and manages to make them comfortable. I've tried Sketchers wide shoes but they always have one spot that drives into the inside of my foot. Not nice. Seems like most other brands on shoes sellers like Amazon, Zappos, DSW, and shoes.com never keep a steady stock of wides in any ones other than NB. They could use a bit of a style overhaul... for the most part they're pretty bland compared to other shoes of this type. But they're good nonetheless. I'm pretty much through the pair I have and I may or may not get the same pair again.

Customer Review: Great, but not perfect

I use this shoe because gait analysis found that it was the most suitable for me. Slight knee injury cleared up quickly and never returned (3 years including its predecessor, 857). This model is more comfortable and the webbing is stronger than the 857s, which had a tendency to tear after a few hundred miles. One of the lace straps broke shortly after buying my first pair of the 858s. My second pair felt fine when I put them on, but required a lot more breaking in than previous shoes.

Customer Review: good not great

I bought these because I had the earlier version of this model and was well satisfied. When it was time to replace them I simply bought the updated shoe. You still need a full size larger than you ordinarily buy and it still offers a comfortable, supportive platform. But it seems to me that some of the cushioning was deducted from the ball of the foot area, so the shoe seems thinner and harder this year. Also, the colors offered are awful (this was true earlier, too). Why do manufacturers think anyone wants shoes that look like they're part of a kid's astronaut costume?

I have for years always used New Balance or Saucony. My husband runs marathons and as I prepared to train for my first 1/2 marathon he turned me to this shoe. Wow, what a difference. This is the second pair of the Saucony Progrid Trigon 5 shoe I've purchased. It is an excellent shoe for cross training. I can run 7 miles in them as well as dead lift the next day. Having had foot problems in the past, I am very careful about which shoe I wear and give this shoe five stars.

This is my third pair of Adistars and I absolutely love them!! Great cushioning and very durable. They are very light and I feel like I can run forever. I run about 2-3 times a week--2-3 miles p/run and I can get a good 6 months out of them before they start feeling 'mushy' (but then I just use them as gym shoes or light run shoes until they die!!). They are also very airy and I never feel like my feet are overheating like I do in some other shoes. Great shoes!

Customer Review: Believe the hype

Wow. What a difference these shoes are compared to all the other shoes I've ran in. I was using a pair of New Balance that I've had for a year and they decent shoes I thought. Actually they were complete crap after I put these shoes on. The difference was night and day. The cushion that you get from these shoes is pretty massive. I actually walked on my heels for a few seconds just to feel the really nice 'squishiness'.
I was diagnosed with arthritis when I was 19 and I've had trouble with my entire back (mostly lower), hips, and feet. I was unable to do anything until I found a medication that has supressed my arthritis (Enbrel). So for a while there I got really fat because I used to work out a lot and eat a lot, but then I had to stop working out...but the eating continued..lol. It's taken me quite awhile to overcome the laziness and get back into shape.
Now when I work out I take precautions to not jack my lower back up and also hurt my feet. I started using an Eliptical to help with the shock to my lower back and feet. After about 25 minutes on the machine, my feet start to go numb from being stationary for so long. With these shoes, my feet still become numb, but it's not as bad and it takes longer for it to happen (usually around 35m). Also I started to hit the track. Only running a lap or two for now (after the eliptical). I was really scared about it, but I had to see if I could handle it. Surpisingly I can, and I dont have ANY pain during the run, after the run, or even in the morning when I wake up.
Since I ordered these online from a different retailer, I wasnt sure what size I should order. Sometimes my shoes will be one size or half a size higher. So I order a size low since my running shoes are always the smaller size. When I got the shoes, it came with inserts that could make them half a size smaller. So that was nice...though I didnt need them. Whether they come with Amazon like that or not, I'm not sure.
Also the shoes are SLIGHTLY narrower than I'm used to, but it didnt bother me since I dont have Hobbit sized wide feet.
The addidas symbol is reflective as well as a little piece on the toe of the shoe. Havent really thought about looking in the back to see if there is a reflective piece there or not.
The only gripe I have about the shoe is the top portion where your toes go. The bend area for your toes is a little rough at first and you'll have to break it in. I was a little aggraveted at this, until I realized at the end of my workout it wasnt bothering me anymore. So after a week of using these, they should be broken in.
All in all...these are some really good running shoes. If you are thinking about getting them, then go for it.
One last thing. I got the white ones with a hint of black. Not the ones I really wanted, but they do look pretty good. I'll take pics sometime soon and upload them.

Customer Review: Cool name so so shoe

I've been wearing the Brooks Beast for a couple of weeks and am not pleased with these shoes. I bought them primarily for work, I work in a warehouse and am on concrete and am constantly moving. I was looking to move up from the New Balance I had and went with the rave reviews for the Brooks but there no better than the New Balance and at least the New Balance is American made unlike the China made Brooks.

I'd give them 1 star for comfort, 3 stars for design and 2 stars for quality. For my overall 2 out of 5 rating.

Customer Review: Great running shoe...

My chiropractor recommended this shoe for its motion control. I have a problem knee that creates problems on down to my ankle and makes my foot track wonky. I have been running with it for about 3 weeks and I do like it. It is light, comfortable and does a great job stabilizing my gait. I run at least 3 miles every day (almost)and will definetly be able to increase my distance with these shoes.

My only caveat is that I didn't realize a "D" meant wide...seems silly since I have been buying my own shoes for over 25 years. I had always seen women's width stated as "W" and since regular width is a "D" in men's, I had originally bought a size 7D. Unfortunately, Amazon does not simply exchange when it is our mistake but forces you to take a refund and reorder. I did, but lost a $25 savings on a "Special Promotion" price when I reordered.

Since I started running 13 years ago,I have never worn anything but asics shoes.At 56 I have to be careful what I put on my feet to keep my body in proper alignment.These shoes fit like slippers and give my feet support which I need because I have high arches and also have an ankle that was snapped from an accident years ago.This shoe gives me room in the toes, no pressure on the back of the heel, roominess in the width, and I like the colors.Also, the laces stay tied, that's huge.My only beef is that I wish it had a slightly higher arch support.

Running shoes are a very personal thing; my favorite shoe leave you injured and miserable, and yours could do the same to me. Reviews like this, then, aren't really very useful. Still, at 6'1", 263#, normal arch, walking & running about ten miles per week, this was the best shoe I've yet found. Great fit, solid arch support (important for big guys like me), well-constructed, just an all-around great shoe for my needs.

great support. i am on the heavy side (190+) so i usually look less at cushion or comfort and more at support. i ran nine miles in these straight out of the box with no problems. good running shoes don't need a break in period anyway, but it's nice to see New Balance still in the game. the toe box area could be a bit narrower, but zero blisters so far so what do i know? the sizing is true as with other New Balance models but try them on first; you may want a 1/2 size larger.

Worth every penny. I didn't know a pair of shoes be so perfect. I pronate moderately, and these are the perfect correction for that; not too much, not too little. Customer Review: Saved my knees

The Beast literally saved my knees. After years of MCL pain and subpatellar grinding as well as pain when running, I was ready to go have my knees checked by an ortho doc. Then I bought the Beast at a local shoe store. After wearing them one week, I noticed my knee pain dropping dramatically. After 2 months of wearing them, just walking around, my problems are all but gone (my feet don't hurt at the end of the day either).

I have very flat feet, external rotation (duck feet), and pronate.

If you are similar and have not tried these, do it now. I want to buy 15 pairs to last me a long time in case they stop making them or change them.

This shoe is popular for good reasons. It looks good. It is available in a broad range of sizes and widths. It is a good running shoe. Finally, I can get it in black in my size, which is 10AA. The 991 only had gray and white in my size. The 992 runs true to size, also, which is nice. You had to size up for the 991. New Balance builds on (at least) 2 running shoe lasts, and this is from the SL-1 last. If you have favorite shoes, find out which last they are based on and buy more off that last.

I walk/jog on hilly sidewalks and these keep my legs alive. The prevention of over-pronation is important when I run down hills with my dog. If I don't have these on, I have learned that my old legs get a very sore tendon behind my knee.

If your old favorites are the 991, now is the time to upgrade.

I bought these shoes after my orthopedic doctor recommended investing in a pair of new balance stability shoes because I overpronate. They really hold my foot in place & were a good investment. If you like a flexible sole on your shoe, this is not the shoe for you. Stability shoes don't have a lot of flex in the sole. These are also sharp looking running shoes.

Worst New Balance Shoes Ever -- Cheap!!

This is the worst pair of NBs I've ever owned, and I've owned dozens and liked virtually all of them. They are very flimsily made, and the bottom tabs that wrap up to the sidewall of the shoe tear off and take the bottom sole with them. I've had 4 of these tabs rip off so far, and 3 of them were in the first 3 days of ownership.
These shoes are abysmal.. do not buy them!

These are a replacement after many pairs of NB 1122s. Still a great running shoe, but for some reason they've shortened the length of the tongue. Its hard to grasp the tongue to prevent it from sliding down when you put the shoe on.

I love this shoe. I was lucky enough to get fitted for a running shoe at a specialty store in MD(charm city run). I have been wearing the adrenaline for 3 years! I am a mild pronator and have high arches. I am also very wide in ball of my foot and narrow in the heal. The shoe is super comfortable with an awesome gel bed and the mesh on the toe box allows air in while you run. This is great on a hot day if you are wearing tech socks because it feels like air conditioning for your toes!. The shoe seems to get better with every new version. I've run half marathons in this shoe with no rubbing or toe cramping. Best shoe ever!

I am very satisfied with these shoes and will probably buy another pair, but take that with a grain of salt, as I may not be the pickiest runner.

My first attempt at running for any distance at all was in a pair of new black leather Army boots, so you can understand why after 13 weeks of basic training I was ecstatic at being issued a pair of Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Lo Top Black to run in. Then, in 1982, I found something at the mall called a "running shoe", made by a company called New Balance. I could not believe the experience: like running on marshmellows for five miles each morning. Can you blame me for keeping them for 16 years?

Alas, eventually even thread, string and duct tape wouldn't keep my beloved NBs together, so about ten years ago I bought a new pair of New Balanceยฎ 550 Cross Trainer, only to discover that after only 6 six years they had to be replaced.
Well, ok -- if thats the way its gonna be, I might as well shop around, right?
I first bought a pair of Z-coils, which held up well but felt as is I were running on stilts. Then I bought a pair of ASICS Gel Enduro 3 Trail Running Shoe Mens and promptly gave myself a case of shin splints that took a full year to heal (how was I to know they were for trail running? You mean people run on TRAILS?)

Two years ago I bought a pair of NB 992s and though they have not only protected me from shin splints and twisted ankles (I'm REALLY good at getting those) they seem to "hit" harder now than when they were new. Its not like they are falling apart or anything, but even with gel inserts I can tell its time to buy a new pair. I will either get a new pair of 992s or a pair of Mens New Balance 908 Trail Running Shoe, which are supposed to be good for both the street and for trails (yes, I eventually used those Asics on an actual trail and they worked so well I wore them out completely, they are totally falling apart.)
So, would I compare the new 992s to my first pair of NB? In truth they are almost certainly better shoes, but the leap from Converse low tops to NB was such a jump forward that its hard to match. The bottom line? I've never gone wrong with New Balance and the 992 is no exception. Firm, no twisted ankles (even though I seldom run on the street any more), no shin splints, and no bad knees either. Worth the price and made right here in the US, too.

Probably the most comfortable golf shoe I have worn. Very stylist, well made and really look good. Was leary of the gripping power of the built in sole spikes, but after use they have the same gripping power as regular spider golf spikes. I bought these to wear in Hawaii for hiking and exploring waterfalls and trails. I did get a blister the first day wearing them barefoot. But with socks they were great! Good traction and grip on rocks, even when slippery! Easy to clean.

size matters
Love the shoe itself. Comfortable, waterproof, stylish (?) and functional. The issue is that the sizing is not consistent between all of the Keen shoes. I have a different pair of Keens in the same size and those shoes are loose. The Venice H2 pair is snug but not yet to the point of being too small.
Overall, I love the shoes and would recommend them to others with the caveat that one must think about sizing up a bit.

Having had a pair of Crocs in the past I was happy to see they were available from Amazon, and sold by Amazon. I was able to get free shipping (to a US address), which is always a plus, and they arrived in a reasonable amount of time. The mid-soles are thinner and flimsy. This causes discomfort to my metatarsals after walking as little as a half hour. In the older versions of World Tour that I am still using, I can walk for up to two hours before this happens. I have now purchased three pair manufactured in Vietnam and it's the same story. Still a well made shoe but skimping on material.

great 'old' shoe
'Old' because of course there is the R7 now. I started jogging/walking (4k daily) last year after many years of swimming only. Bought a pair of cheapies at Target and had numerous foot/leg problems. When younger I ran a lot. I ran in Brooks up to the transition to PR when quality became a distant memory. Now made in China, the R6 at any rate is a very high quality product. If you are neutral or a slight supinator, this shoe should be good. It is built like a tank, though, and is somewhat stiff. Low heel still has lots of cushion (at least for someone with an acceptable BMI). Great stability. My shoe size is US10 or slightly bigger with normal width and I ordered 11D (following Brooks advice to order 1/2 to 1 size larger) and the fit is perfect. For around USD40, the shoes are a serious bargain. A couple of months of daily short runs has produced no noticeable wear.

Asics Nimbus 9: Very good running shoe, gentle with good balance
I run every other day about 7 kilometers (4.4 miles) to 14km (8.8 miles) every other night. I run on hard pavement with the occasional leaves and branches. I've never written a review despite being a long time customer of Amazon, but this shoe is a pretty good value for its quality I had to give my one cent worth.

First off, this is my first Asics shoe. My usual running shoe is either a Nike or Adidas. My last shoe I used for running was a Nike Air Zoom 360 which was about 200 dollars. It was a coolness factor buy I admit, but before that I had their zoom running shoes which I found light and soft on impact as well.

When my Nike air zoom 360 needed retirement (the sole was one big air pocket and had been ruptured on both shoes, making it pick up rocks and dust), I decided that my next running shoe would be softer and less style over function. It had to be light but very stable ( I don't want to twist my ankle again.)

The only other shoe available at the time of window shopping was an Adidas CS running shoe, white with a yellow stripe. It was about 20 dollars less than the Nimbus 9, was lighter and cooler to run around with because of the mesh the upper part was made of but not as soft on impact. The shoe is very good for our climate which is very hot and humid and the mesh doesn't look like it will rip. It was pretty stylish as well.

I am not flat footed, I've got a regular arch and I have no qualms running around the shoe store with the shoes on to test how they feel.

After a few jogs and 3 jumps between stores, I decided on the Nimbus 9 because the soles of the shoe was notably softer than any other shoe I've had so far. Its well balanced and for about 120 dollars, was a lot less than I normally spend on running shoes. It felt like a good deal and it was pretty cool to find it outside the more common brands I'm used to.

The gel they talk about which comprises the sole is no joke. Normally, poking inside the shoe won't give you a good idea of how it'll feel on your feet when you walk, but for the first time in my shoe buying experience, the inner sole was just as soft to the touch as it is on my feet.

The design wasn't something I totally fancied, but thats subjective and for the function the shoe gives; soft cushioning for the feet, stability and fit around the ankle, you can't go wrong.

Very good looking shoe. Fast shipping. Extremely good service as always from Amazon. But the thing i was not knowing was that this shoe doesn't have very good padding at the bottom. May be due to my ignorance, i never knew that basketball shoes are generally harder from the bottom, or it's the problem with this particular pair, so i feel the jerks while jogging/running.

Rest a very fine pair of shoe. Must buy for people who don't have padding concern.

Kayanos are all good
Great stability and cushioning shoe. I have had trouble with shin splints and my achillies and find these shoes far superior to the 2100 series. Definitely worth the extra money spent, I wouldn't go back to 2100s.

Great shoe...Phenominal price
I did alot of research on running shoes and the Adidas Cushion 6 was one of the top dogs. I thought that the shoe might be a little undersized because of some of the reviews but it felt great right away. The shoe is very light and comfortable. I am a recreational runner and I think this shoe has been key to increasing my endurance and fighting fatigue. The price beat the next best by twenty dollars or so. Shipping was reasonable and delivery time was good.

incredibly comfortable with only one issue
Great sandal that is very comfortable. Worked very well in on 3 hour hikes and deep in the water which was nice since we came across stingrays buried very close to shore. Not something you want to step on barefoot as my friend who did, can attest to.

As others have stated the only issue I ran into was getting sand trapped in the front portion of the sandal. This was not a problem on some beaches with fine sand, however another beach mostly comprised of small pebbles and rock was very annoying as it got trapped in the toe guard. Wading in water doesn't help and really only taking them off and rinsing them worked.

But other then that, they were great. Very comfortable, look good and if you have funny looking toes, these will cover them up. The only other thing I recommend is sun block otherwise you'll have a web pattern on your foot from where the sun gets through.

The Keen Venice H2 is a perfect solution for warm all-weather daily living. It's lighter and airier even that the Newport. I wear mine all day from the beach to the jungle and don't notice they're on. The comfortable fit around the ankle eliminates the need to grip the toes and lets me walk naturally over rocks and everything else! The sole is solid and supportive without being heavy. In my book, Keen hit a home run with these!

Great shoe. Great fit, good cushioning, light, and well vented. Saucony makes the best running shoe and this is the best I have had.

BTW, they do run a half size small so I recommend going up a half size.

Great running shoe. I often have problems with running shoes due to high arches in my foot. However, I haven't had any problems with this shoe.

Brooks Men's Beast Running Shoe

Lots of Confusion
This review is more about the website than the shoe. I like Brooks products and was looking for the best pricing. I found several prices in the neighborhood of $100-120 on Amazon's merchants sites, all of which seemed high considering they all charged extra for shipping. I was getting frustrated until I found the shoe could indeed be purchased through Amazon for $81 + tax. I jumped on it and it was delivered two days later.

A Great Shoe for Problem Feet
Here we have what must be an old clique - the letter carrier with problem feet. I've had weak ankles and rather serious pronation for years. Physical therapists recommended the Brooks Beast and it works for me - very well. Great arch and ankle support. As for price, I compared and this time Amazon was the best. I buy two pair at a time so I can alternate shoes every day in the hope of extending their life in the rather stressful conditions I put them through. A good bet all around.

supportive shoe
Supportive shoe. I sometimes suffer from pain along the iliotibial band with less supportive running shoes. So far with these shoes I haven't had any problems. The 'rollbar' in the sole provides noticeable support. Seems to fit a little bigger than my asics, but that may just be my experience.

Excellent shoes made in the USA.
This is the second pair I have purchased of these shoes. I wear them as a casual shoe, so I can't help advise runners. However, they are super comfortable and the style is nice and simple.

The only motion control sneaker period
I've been using these for years, since my doctor recommended them. They are great running or walking shoes for heavier folks with flat feet (little or no arch). The secret is in the heel part of the shoe, it is deep and very hard, it cradles your ankles for better support of the mechanics of your feet as you walk. They are the only sneakers that come in very wide sizes and are very comfortable with no braking period required. May even replace expensive orthotics in most cases. Product shipped well packed and at a great price. New Balance makes very good shoes, the materials on the soles are very long lasting, but they should update this model, it only comes in this navy blue, it's been years. I also wish that they would make a full leather version, for those rainy days, and that they would not charge so much; maybe give you a break after you buy your 5th pair. I hope New Balance is listening.

Comfort in rugged Guatemala
My job consists of lots of walking in some of the most remote parts of rural Guatemala. I picked up these shoes a few months ago on a brief trip back to the US and couldn't be more pleased. They're rugged and comfortable; the provide the perfect combination of durability and comfort for a walking shoe designed for conditions more rugged than an urban environment. New Balance Women's W992 Running Shoe

Solid Shoe
This is very well built shoe. Very supportive. I am a little disappointed in the cush appeal though. I have an old pair of NB-803s that are still more cushy than the 992s. But over all a pretty good shoe. If I would ever buy another pair of 992s? My answer would have to be NO. I will look for a better replacement of my old 803s. I use them to work in on cement floors all day and I need more cush.
New Balance shoes

I buy a pair of these every year!
I am a little lazy about fashion, so it helps that I love these shoes so much that they're the only shoes I wear. I have probably gone through 6 pairs of these (first the 991s, and now the 992s now that the 991s have been fazed out). It takes a few walks to break them in. They feel tight around the ankles and a little high at the heel. But once they're broken in, they are extremely comfortable. And I love the neutral color.

I do moderate walking 6 times a day in these and wear them for everything else. Despite all that usage, they last at least a year. I'm kind of in a routine now where I wear the old ones for exercise and the new ones as my regular shoes. (Each pair is in use for 2 years!) I am a big nerd, but I love these shoes and it works. They are pricey. Never buy them at the NB store or at the mall. The best deals are online. Amazon is great!
